Transmission Failsafe after 5 minutes + transfer box fault

Hi folks, is there any particular significance to a transmission fail-safe message after 5 minutes of driving? The car also has a transfer box fault and from reading various threads this can bring on the tx fail-safe mode (associated with an incorrect output value from the rotary potentiometer in the hi/lo select motor). Does it take 5 minutes of driving for the ecu to decide there is a speed mismatch with the output shaft sensor when compared to the speed expected due to being in lo range for example?

England 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

First thing to check is battery condition and voltage, the gearbox ECU is very sensitive to low volts... Pete
