They are up the whole time, they appear Friday night and are normally gone by Sunday. Found some piggy back on the name of a reputable garage and when you look on the garage site they are not there.

How exactly do these scammers make money?? It's obviously a scam as too cheap and wrong information - do people hand over money on this basis? |

Most of them just get a deposit. Then they disappear.

They'll email initially and sound quite convincing. They will claim that they're selling off stock cheap due to a move and will deliver the car without asking for payment. Once your all excited and waiting on for delivery they'll claim they need a small refundable deposit before delivery. This will be for as much as they think they can get away with.

When I was looking to buy there was an advert on Autotrader similar to this. I emailed the guy who told me the car was currently out of the country, but would return soon. It was really funny to read the stories he came up with 😂 |

There's been spates of them on ebay and autotrader. It's easy to pick them out as they always include a mobile phone number and an email address, usually one of the addresses you can get two-a-penny off yahoo, etc.
