The video had a caption in the bottom left of the screen saying 'EXHAUST' and then, after a few minutes, a much quieter clip saying 'CABIN'.

It did this twice, so I reckon he had a microphone somewhere near his exhaust. You can also hear a lot more road noise on EXHAUST.

The clip, in small print below the screen, also says 'stock', which the CABIN clips would seem to verify.
