Hopefully not a case of RTFM, but got a couple of knowledge gaps I can't figure out. Never had a 2010 before so whole electrical system is new to me.

1. I've set the central locking to lock on driving away. The only problem is that the doors don't unlock when you turn the engine off. I'm sure my 2008 used to pop the locks when you switched off (or am I imagining this?). It's a small PITA that I have to hit the CL button in order to remove the kids (or as a minimum, pull my handle twice)

2. I was given an iPod cable with the car but it doesn't send power to the iPod. This means the Bluetooth receiver that I bought to attach to it doesn't power up as well. Could my cable be a dud, has anyone got any ideas or experience getting it to work?

Your CL either on your 08 or 10 will not unlock when removing keys (does work on the Discovery range though)

Your iPod cable must be duff sir as mine charges

1.. on the auto lock , as you say they lock when you reach 15mph? but for unlock you have to double pull on the inside lever to unlock or use the central dash unlock button..

JLR obviously don't think that Discovery drivers will ever get robbed!!!

1/ All above correct but you can enable the auto unlock in the CCF using a Faultmate or possibly IID tool.

2/ if you have an OEM cable your issue may be with the socket itself! Early 2010 models had an iPod socket with previous generation wiring and they will not charge newer phones whatever cable you use! I will dig out the post that explains this in more detail with the part number you need to order
