Roof Bar Locks (or lack of)

When I bought the RR, it came with the roof rails fitted and a pair of roof bars, which were not attached to the rails but left in the boot. I was working out how to fit them yesterday and noticed that there are no locks on the roof bars.

Are the bars locked to prevent theft or do they actually hold the bars in place? If the latter, where do I get 4 locks? There are loads on eBay, most of which imply they are compatible with 99% of vehicles and a few posts on here imply that Thule locks will fit, which are about £12 for 4. However, the slot in the bar where the lock fits doesn't look deep enough.

ive got some original LR ones, the locks come out when you turn the key from memory. i think you can buy new keys, so maybe locks too. the original ones have a silver sticker on top with i think the part number and its load rating on. maybe you can buy the locks from land rover, or find out if they are same accross models etc. sometimes people get lucky with roof bars on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-L322...7675.l2557

Thanks for that. Someone got a bargain with that eBay listing. My rails and bars are original LR ones too. Maybe I'll pop along to the dealer next weekend.
