Nice - takes me back to when I used to follow some of the big rallies, but this was in the days of the Group B cars - they were truly amazing Thumbs Up

If you aren't familiar with the Group B cars of the '80s just search on YouTube - you'll be impressed - 6R4 and Quattro's sound incredible Thumbs Up

This a nice tribute or this one

i see great clips there, but as a fan of motorsport, its such little action when on foot than at a track. the speeds in rallying make a mistake turn to a nanosecond difference between death and no injuries. just like TT racing on the Isle of man, there are no real run-offs, and the public are hardly fenced off. the stone barriers hardly 'contain safety' get to a traxck, and watch from a seat, a deck chair etc. teeny weeny chance of cars hitting you.
though I stake claim to have been hit on the (unblinked) eyeball by a piece of tyre marble in the eighties, that ruined my day!

I could never take my children rallying, as its too long a wait to see a car go past, for a few seconds, and rely on a speaker to tell me the progress. and the thought of anyone getting hit, fills me with dread! trees are deadly at 30mph, add 100mph to that, and its not entertainment.
