Had a call from Ryan and the dealers & the current situation is that my Range Rover has been put back together with the new parts but the belt is at an angle and not sitting right,so if left like this it "WILL" happen again,so more parts are being ordered

Based on own experience, having bought our last 3/ consecutive 4x4 from LR main dealers, I'd expect they will 'look after you' and extend courtesy when things don't go according to plan.

They might not get everything right first time, but who does? You might have to escalate your concerns beyond your initial point of contact but that's why organisations have a chain of command.

There's a reason why we've bought 3 consecutive 4 x 4 from LR main dealers and that's because they've given the best of warranty, after sales service and are more than prepared to demonstrate good will when things have gone awry.

I'd be interested in what the cause is that the belts shredded so quickly. What is sitting at a wrong angle and why and what is the underlying cause ??? Keep up posted please. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Just had a call from the dealers to say they've ordered yet more parts!!!
One of them being the pulley that holds the belts on,they are hoping this will solve the issue of the belt hanging over by 1/4 inch ,apparantly it maybe that it was not fitted with a spacer in the first place by the original dealers or it came from the factory like that

It will be worth to ask them to prove the alignment is correct (with pictures) while they are fitting the new parts to the car. That way everybody can rest at ease that it was done right this time. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
