2004 4.4 FFRR - Heated Windscreen Fault advice needed

Hi Guys the heated windscreen on my Range Rover is only defrosting/working on the passenger 1/2 of the screen. It clears the passenger 1/2 completely but doesn't do anything to the drivers side. Does anyone have any idea about how I go about repairing this issue and what I need to look at or check?

Thanks in advance for any advice. 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast

take the a-pillar trim off on the affected side and check for 12v+ when you activate the screen
Measure at the flex connection to earth. there is also a wiper are heater flex worth checking too

the good news will be if you don't get 12+ volt
else the screen is damaged and must be replaced

Hi thanks for the info, any idea of how I go about taking the A pillar trim off without damaging it?

I'm hoping it's a faulty connection as you can literally see a divide right down the centre of the screen where one 1/2 is working and the other side isn't. 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast

I would hazard a good guess you might need a new screen, they do De laminate and the small wires brake up. I suspected mine was not working the other day when we had a heavy frost, took ages to clear, but on a light frost it cleared it Confused .

The air bag badge is a tight fit.
