2005 SC - v- 2007 SC

Any members owned both MY05 and MY07 cars?

I am wondering if I should go for the earlier car, as I have seen one with low miles and 1 owner. Is there a big difference in the cars, apart from TR.

I had read that the 05 cars only had a 5 speed auto rather than 6.

Did they do anything to the engine or brakes, suspension etc.

If this topic has been covered in the past,I apologies in advance Embarassed

Pretty much just the TR and updated cosmetic bits.

The gearbox is the same 6sp zf unit no matter which 4.2sc you go for. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

England 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Bonatti Grey

The 4.2 SC had the same 6 speed ZF gearbox all the way through.....

You'll find lots of opinions here, many say the first 06MY SC was best the put together and in general ages very well. Other says that the 07 onwards under Ford ownership some inevitable cost cutting came into play and the quality suffered. Other say the 07!is superior. It's all a minefield really!! 2006 4.2 SC
