cant give any other advice on yours yet, but, before you start spending good money, consider the modern android head unit upgrade at £300. look for a thread 'android upgrade' , its very well read, that removes all your vogue dsp and has all the sound stuff in front unit, at expense of a few functions of the stalk on board computer, ie mpg and the clock. (clock is in new unit of course) |

There aren't any fiber optics on yours, it's too old, the DSP is canbus controlled from the head unit, the DSP is a well known problem area, I've just fitted an Android unit to a guy's 2003, he paid £300 to have his DSP fixed and it lasted 1 month past it's warranty...

Not sure what the port is you refer to on the DSP but it only has 3 connector plugs, no fibre cable.

If the units have power and identify themselves on the ibus, the text will be white on the screen. If the system used to be there, but has not identified itself, ie poss no power, the text will be grey.

the round connector is the one below the plug on the left, maybe not required .
