Just bought a 61 Vogue SE ... 2 half worn Continentals on the back which I'll replace soon, and 2 brand new Nexian Roadians on the front ... presumably the fronts were crocked and these were cheap - £112 at E-Tyres, fitted etc.
Any votes for Nexian? The tread looks good and they're quiet but I've never heard of them! Do they last long? Do they suit the RRFF? Any info ...?

Not a Goodyear or a Pirelli Scorp by a long shot but if tarmac is your chosen path you will be fine Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

There are plenty of us on here who have these with no complaints, me included. only thing they are a soft side wall and the tyre looks flatter than normal.
I have had these on the FF and are happy with them, mind I now need some new tyres so looking at more of these.

Nexens are an own brand and are ome on some cars.

I'll buck the trend then. Mine came with Contis on the rear and 2 Nexens on the front. Almost deaf after the drive home so I changed all 4 to Scorpions.

I had a set on my P38 and they were great. Ok so there's a bit of a performance difference but generally speaking its a similar car

Ours has had them on all 4 wheels for 21 months/ 20k miles (main dealer fitted them when we bought the car and I complained I couldn't believe they'd shod such a car with budget tyres).

They've not worn much. It's used as a daily road car.

The tyres have performed faultlessly including during two particularly hairy spontaneously occurring emergency situations when the tyres really had to perform, once in the wet and once on a mud caked Tarmac road surface. The softer tyre wall also stood up to the car unavoidably mounting a kerb at speed to prevent a collision with an out of control oncoming car (the alloy wheel was preserved too).

We are not aware of undue road noise.

I would never have bought these tyres for any car never mind a powerful 4x4. Now, for the type of use we've made of them on the RR, I couldn't argue against what Nexens offer.

Mine has exactly the same combination, Nexens on the front and Conti's on the rear - fine as far as I can see BUT I like F1 and someone has to pay for it so I have just bought some Pirellis.

I changed from Scopians to Nexens on my last Rangie and didn't really notice any difference in noise neither could I see the sidewalls flexing - if anything the converse was true. Geoff

Mine has same combo. No problems with road manners but a tad noisier which I got used to. Previous cars:

Having builders round they where parked everywhere so after I came home from work I parked on the lawn, I didn't move it when they went home either ( mistake)....it rained hard over night.

When they came back next morning again vans all over the place, I now have to travel to work.......jumped in the RR and......all wheels spinning, no forward or reverse( even rocking F & R ) she sank in the lawn
Quick jump in the 90, winched the RR out in just 2min and we where off again.

Morel of this.....nexens and soft lawns are a no no  If it dont work.......burn it!
