I had my Westminster in with the dealer last week to look at a couple of niggles under warranty. I also asked them to look at the bubbling i had at the bottom of the tailgate - would you believe... they phoned me today to say the claim has been approved and can we book it in for them to replace the tailgate.

I am very impressed as was expecting a bit of a battle.

It is a good result, but it's also a shocking indictment of the quality of the car. It simply shouldn't happen on a 4 year old car, it's a disgrace! Drives:

I had my 2011 upper tailgate replaced last year no problem.
It was as though they new it was in range that rust.
It took 4 days and they did a pretty good job.

My 2009 model tailgate is in the same state all rusty along the bottom seam and bubbling along the lower outer edge, alas no warranty so I'm looking to find a good bodyshop in the Stockport area to sort it out but am concerned it may need a replacement upper tailgate. Does anyone have any idea how much a new tailgate fitted and painted would cost? I do get that expensive feeling though  2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver
