Yep, I have decided to walk. This is the only 5.0L SC for sale in the country at the moment. However, I hate driving a car where you have that nagging feeling that something could go wrong.

I guess I may have to settle for a TDV8 (low miles!) as SC cars are hard to find in Australia

Or I could plough $7000 into my TD6 and pre-emptively repair the gearbox - however it is still a 10yr old car even with a newer box and I have a feeling the 2009/2010 cars are far more quiet and comfy than the 2004 vintage!

I meant you will get the "better 8 speed gearbox" in a 4.4TDV8 than the older 6 speed in a 5.0 sir... Whistle Whistle Whistle
