Deployable side steps not working after flat battery

Morning all,

Having a few issues with the FFRR, not sure if they are linked; grateful for some guidance please!

Went to go out yesterday and after turning ignition on had a bizarre dancing light dashboard. Car wouldn't turn over and battery appeared flat. After a full charge, seems fine; however my voltmeter is only showing 12v recharge when all electrics are on - suggest dodgy alternator??

Furthermore, the deployable side steps now don't work. I've tried various methods of pressing the button and turning the ignition to no avail. Ideas?

Thanks all, and happy NY!

I presume you have locked/un-locked the car? And still not working? I would start by looking in the wiki for the battery reset procedure and see if that spur's them into life...

After charging the battery then starting the car the BCU may not instruct the alternator to give any more than 12V... Run it for 20-30mins with electrical kit switched on then recheck the voltage sir Thumbs Up
