United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Giverny Green
5.0 Supercharged Question

Hi all,

After nearly 4 trouble free years, I'm thinking of changing my TD6 Vogue for the 2011 5.0SC AB in the picture below. I've noticed the wheels are 19" "Style 15" Vogue wheels rather than 20" wheels which I think were standard at the time. Does anyone know if these 19" wheels were simply an option in 2011 or if it's something to question when buying a SC?

19 were a No Cost Option.
they could have also been replace, just check this particular L322's specs on topix with the Vin and you will know.

These 19's are the only ones compatible with the large brakes (2010 on L322s) and made simpler(ish) the choice for off road tyre (ie: MTRs in 19'' when nothing was available in 20''. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

As stated above, a 'no cost option' BUT....... Why? Does it mean its been used off road? If so, a very detailed look as to what, why, how etc etc is in order "me finks sir"

Looking at the front tyre shoulder it does seem to have some pretty agressive tyres on, General Grabbers, so off road tyres does seem to be the reason.

Still worth a look if the wheels don't put you off too much, so long as it hasn't been broken, they are designed for the rough stuff after all, possibly just been used to drive into fields on a shoot..... You can always ask for them to change the wheels over as part of the deal, they may have a standard vogue somewhere sitting on 20" which they can swap over.....

Although the front valance does look somewhat "muddy" There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Looking at the grime underneath the bumper, I'd say it's definitely been used what it was built for...
All well and good, but not so great for the next owner...

The fact the car has been used as intended wouldn't put me off especially as I see it is a Land Rover approved vehicle. The 19 wheels are sold as an accessory for proper off-road tyres or snow so the car probably has a set of original 20's as well. If not you could ask to include a set in the deal as well as an extended warranty.
If the car was a dog, Land Rover would have another way of clearing it instead of selling it through their Land Rover approved scheme. Have a look at it and make your own mind up.

Just because a previous owner has put on a set of AT tyres and smaller rims doesn't mean it's been hard used or abused. Some people fret a bit and over react.

Also, some might have a second set if tyres and it's still not been used off road much.

Also a dealer might swap wheels over to get a set refurbed while they took photos.

Only way to know is ask, then go view it, and get under it to look for signs of if road use. Mud clings in corners that pressure washers can't reach.
