2008/2009 range rover sport 2.7 running costs

Hello everyone, I'm looking at purchasing a 2008/2009 range rover sport 2.7l with under 50k on the clock but just need a few things clearing up before purchase one.

I am very keen in getting one but I'm starting to get a little worried because some people have mentioned that they can be incredibly expensive to keep running/maintenance, I'm pretty sure that people have been exaggerating how bad they can be so I just wanted to get some sound advice from people who know about them.

Iv done a little research on the forum already and it seems to be apparent that the gearboxes can be a common fault but are there any others that I should look out for ?

Any advice would be great Smile

Only my opinion but you may be better off trying the sister RRS forum.

The RRS is pretty close to a Disco 3 but no real relation of the Full Fat.

Sorry not to be much help but you may get better advice. Thumbs Up

IMO you'd be better spending your money on an L322 3.6tdv8.

Running costs arent that much more bar the yearly tax and then there isnt the worry of the engine going pop like the TDV6/TDV8 do in the SSRR Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.
