I have the same problem. The electric sections left and right are not wet at all or have they ever been, it's all dry in those sections. On occasion, the recess where the wheel sits has some water in it, but I have removed a grommet near the tailgate to let any drain out.

We had lots of rain last night, still a teaspoon of water sat in my boot but not as bad as it was. So it looks as if the raer tailgate seal possibly helped a little but it's getting in somewhere else. I wonder if it's around the top hinges? |

I did the same, seal is now replaced and there's still a bit of water getting in.

I fixed my boot leak last year - replaced the seal as others have done but still water running in. Long story short it was coming in where the bolts that hold on the rear crash bar that is behind the rear bumper come through the rear panel - there are 4 on each side and they are quite big - they were drawing water in both sides - may have been a gasket on there once upon a time but I fixed it by removing the rear bumper, unbolting and removing the crash bar and filling the holes with sealant, then applying a sealant gasket to the mounting surface of the crash bar - then refit- its messy and you get a lot of sealant come through with the bolts but it cured the problem and stopped the car misting up on wet days.

That's sort of confirmed my suspicions that it could be the tow bar mounting bolts

Well ... touch wood, mines been dry for a few weeks since I had my rear tailgate seal changed, we've had a fair bit of rain also. At the same time as having the tailgate seal replaced, they adjusted the boot alignment slightly as the one corner was out by 2-3 mm. Maybe this had something to do with it also.

Well it looks like I might have been a bit premature thinking that the tailgate seal hadn't resolved it.

Good News and well done! I've been checking mine after heavy rain and so far so good, it definitely leaked prior to having the new seal fitted and now it doesn't |
