Yeah I used to say that, and still do sometimes. Yes I have a caravan but more as a means to an end. I was more sick of getting dry butt raped by hotels / guest houses etc - -none of these F ers cater for kids, dogs, shooting etc. I once checked into a hotel with my shotgun ready for a weekend's shooting. The manager refused to put it in the hotels safe despite me having pre-arranged this. Yeah they're a bit pikey and yes, they can be a bloody nuisance on the roads but it makes holidays affordable and reasonably convenient. And no, I won't part with mine until the kids have left home. |
