Sweden 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Alaska White
EDF - Mrs Edfors' shopping cart

I'm back in a proper Range Rover! Or more rightly my missus is. I recently bought her a 2008 TDV8 Vogue as a gift to her for our 20th wedding anniversary.

I have a long history in Land Rovers and my family an even longer history. But my experiences started when my father bought a brand new Range Rover in 1976.

This was the first car I ever drove. But our family grow out of it in a few years and we continued with a LWB Series III. From there it just continued.

Last time I had a full size RR was the P38a I sold in 2008.

And missus got her first LR in 2004, when I bought a beautiful Freelander V6 for her.
The Freelander have been missed by us both since I sold it in 2007. It was a gorgeous car, we got really attached to it and missus has hold the sale against me for 7 years now.

Since then it's been a load of Discovery's. Still have a couple of D2's.

The Discovery 2's have served me very well in the last seven years, and will hopefully be with me for a long time to come.

These very versatile family LR's have taken our family on several vacation trips.

So after more than 200 000 miles in D2's its time to broaden the family fleet.

So here we go for the new to us RR. This particular part of the history starts back in March 2010 when I spotted this particular vehicle in the queues in Stockholm on my way to work.

I thought the license plate would suit us perfect. Took a picture to not forget about it.

So four and a half years later I looked up the current owner and gave him a call. "Hi, you have a white Range Rover, right?" "Yes." "I'm interested to buy it to my wife as a gift on our 20th anniversary..." the rest is history.
We booked a train to the south of Sweden to pick up her new ride.

First drive off from the seller.

Made it a weekend trip and stayed at a hotel on the Swedish west coast.

Got home alright.

But this light had come on!

And it's nice to be back in a Range Rover which tells you what the meaning of the control light symbols.

Looking forward to joining you lot for real Cool

A great story. Hopefully your FF will serve you well The difference between theory and reality is that in theory it will work.

Nice story and nice car. Thumbs Up Valkommen (as Google translate says - please excuse lack of A dots).
I love the pics. The Classic and the wading Disco are brilliant.
Seeing the one with a Disco towing two more makes me think we need a noun of assembly for Discoveries. Shocked
