Driving the car recently on roundabouts I have had the sensation of the car slightly skidding. Also despite having had alignment done my steering wheel needs turning to the right slightly in order to keep in a straight line. Also I noticed a slight vagueness to the steering also. This morning on full lock whilst parking the front passenger side wheel seemed to skid / move slightly sideways. I should also add that I get a slight shimmy on the steering wheel on certain surfaces at about 40mph or so despite having wheels balanced twice. I'm thinking I need to check bushes etc. So do I jack up car taking all safety precautions etc. and check for play at wheel and do a visual inspection. What's likely to be the culprit Control arm?

Lower arms and upper arm ball joints - lemforder, couldnt find upper arms from lemforder, only Delphi were available at the time, both are original equipment manufacturers, but half price when bought as oem.
