Problems with electrics !!

Hi, hopefully someone can help me, am picking my 03 rr from the gearbox centre tomorrow, yes I have just had to have the box rebuilt & new torque convertor, the last in a long list of repairs since I bought it 8 months ago ! Have nearly finished sorting it out but am left with a couple of headaches.
First, the rear wiper has a mind of its own, 10 mins after starting it turns on & can't turn off, have to take fuse out. My garage, which is very good, has checked motor, relay etc & have said is fault in wireing it is earthing somewhere. Could be very expensive to trace.
Second, check brake pad warning & brake light on. Have had all pads, sensors changed & checked. Battery reset done as well. It does go off occasionaly but comes straight back on. Again my garage is stuck & not wanting to spend lots my money traceing wiring etc.
I have had some great advice from this forum in the past so fingers crossed one of you has had similar issues. Love my rr but would like to get it sorted once and for all.
Many thanks

Hi paul can't help you with your wiper but does sound like an earth problem. Your brake light will more than likely be the sensor, either nearside front or offside rear, there's a good you tube video from powerful uk on how to check. The front nearside is easier and to check you don't need to take the wheel off all that is required is a paperclip, the offside rear is more difficult as you will need to take the liner out. Watch the video it is very good. Hope this helps and gets you sorted.
Greg.

Re wiper.
The wiper motor is integral with the ecu as one unit.
I'd be inclined to disconnect the wiper motor/ecu connector and look for any signs of corrosion in the connector, particularly the Black/White cable and the Black/Blue cable.
Also check the condition of the above cables for damage including inside the rubber sleeve that goes from the top of the door to the rear of the roof. Any earth fault in these cables will cause your rear wiper to run.

The brake warning light on could be low brake fluid level or bad connection on brake pad wear sensor cable or damaged sensor cable.
