Had a call today from my supplying dealer to book my car in to have a recall carried out....something to do with some overhead gubbins in the cabin?

Got it back....its something to do with the overhead console mat....whatever that is.

Also there was some parts fitted to the fixed side steps which apparently prone to rattling?.....mine werent anyway.

Worst bit was on looking up at the overhead console after the work was carried out this is what I was greeted to :-

Good luck with that, it will never be the same. The black hand gang had been all over my parcel shelf recently luckily I had some baby wipes that brought it back but I swear I can still see marks.

Yes. My Ivory rear parcel shelf had a visit from the black hand gang too after my dodgy tow bar wiring issue. Thankfully fairly easily removed with Fairy Liquid but just goes to show the dealers just don't give a damn when it comes to looking after your car.

Pretty pish poor. May not let them do that if we get the recall sent to us. Looks like a dirty screwdriver used to prise the console down.

But is that a boost alloy for a 90 reflected in the console......

It was Tomb Raider special parked next to me I think!

Yeah, dirty screwdriver was my prognosis.....I'll be amazed if they can get it looking new again with the oil content but Ill be insisting on a replacement headlininer if they cant.

I still cant believe that it was signed off as complete...well maybe I can. When it was delivered I had to ask them to a fit new rear number plate as the chimp who fitted the first one couldnt even fit it straight....same tech maybe?  '14.5 SDV8 Nara Bronze for sale

That's appalling - which dealer? Name and shame them and then write to the principle with a copy of this post included. Then have it rectified by a proper detailer and send them the bill.

Anyway, hope that it's sorted for you.

All sorted now with some goodies fitted at bargain prices as way of apology so I wont name and shame.

Was quite weird picking the car up actually as I was treted like royalty.....the other people sat waiting in the service reception must have wondered who I was, lol!!
