2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey
2006 Supercharger rear lights STOLEN

Twisted Evil Censored Twisted Evil Censored

Just spoke to a mate at work and he has returned to his car on the car park near home and he now has no rear lights Sad or badges....

Only had the car 4 days and after I had raved about him having a FF. Saved hard, did overtime, sold a few garage goodies and found a lovely 56 plate 4.2 S/C....

Thieving scum...he's hunting around ebay but any assistance would be good if anyone can help, or knows of any 2nd hand lights. I have ordered silver badges for mine so he's getting my grey ones but after only a few days ownership he is gutted. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Is it possible to change the bolts to like an Allen key head so you will definately have to open the tailgate to remove them ?

That way a spanner will have nothing to grip on.

Pain in the arse, you shouldn't have to worry about crap like this.......

Hope a quick fix occurs. Not cheap though are they ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Sorry to hear and sorry to say that there is a thread about this. It has been quite bad in the UK for a while and that is why there is a solution. Replacing the hex bolts with torx (security/tamperproof) will help. To make it even harder you could use a light or medium threadlock compound. Use the bolts with rounded head and no edge for pliers to grip onto as well !! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

theft of these rear lights has been mentioned a few times here already....you can slip a spanner in between the light and tailgate and undo the bolts quite easily...the only way to prevent this is to fit allen or hex bolts.. ... - .- -.

Took place in just outside of Wilmslow in leafy Cheshire....full of millionaires and range rovers !!

Plod reckon they are stolen to order and commented lots have gone missing of FF's. Suggested he look on gumtree Evil or Very Mad which seems kind of pointless. Insurance didn't give much support either so whichever way you look at this he needs to shell out £250 'ish' for either his excess or the hope that fleabay has some Rolling Eyes

I would be interested in seeing the security resolution for this with Hex heads if anyone can point me the right way. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Nick, the bolts were certainly a factory fit job by the 2009 facelift sir... Meaning if you order bolts for a CA chassis no onwards you will be sure to get the correct ones sir Bow down

Found these on fleabay at a good price if this helps...

If you can post a part no for the newer bolts I'd be grateful.

That said, I have the lights that people are probably wanting to swap for newer ones.....
