And for the next problem, Parking Sensors

Should these always be enabled?

If I select R, the sensors come on and the rear camera is enabled. All good. However, if I've gone straight from P to D, driven about a bit and then gone to park somewhere without needing R, then the sensors do not activate i.e. I am in danger of nosing the car into the stately pile. I seem to remember in my previous car that they came on automatically when you were doing a certain speed and approached a potential obstacle.

fronts only work when the rears have been used or by the switch.. ... - .- -.

Early D3/RRS had the "Auto-on" for the front sensors.

Later models, and all FFRR needs Reverse to be selected first to switch the sensors on.

Almost found that out the hard way

They don't shut up in stop-start traffic either

If I'm parking up without going into reverse, I just press the switch for the parking sensors and they work without having to engage reverse first.
It's perfect for parking without hassle or potentially crashing into cars / obstacles.

Mine only work when its raining heavily or I have a trailer plugged in? It's a full fat dementia thing Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

That's what I have noticed too! Thanks for all the replies, will have to get used to it. On the previous car (not a LR) they came on at low speeds but switched off automatically when stationary.

PS: Mikey, do you have a white D3? There's one with a very relevant (to you) plate parked in the car park at Edinburgh airport this week.
