Suspension Fault Max Speed 30mph and HDS INACTIVE warnings

Hi guys,

I have serious problems with the suspension on my 2006 HSE and would appreciate if I could pick the knowledgeable brains of the members on this website to try and find a solution.

These problems have been going on for over a month but unfortunately neither the garage where I purchased the car have been able to fix them.

These issues occur on short trips around town, the car would show the "Suspension Fault" warning and HDS Inactive warning followed by the rear and front suspension totally deflating. By pulling in to the side of the motorway on a few occasions and turning the car off for a while I managed to re-inflate the suspension.

Thanks

Impossible to say.......

First guess is battery or alternator but guess work is a long, expensive road! It needs plugging into diagnostics to be sure. 2006 4.2 SC

Keep an open mind. Once you know the fault code(s) from diagnostics there is every chance it's a simple, easy fix! Thumbs Up 2006 4.2 SC

Mine did this for a while and then it stopped. Weird.

I think mine was caused by a slow puncture on the left rear wheel. Once that was sorted out, and the tyre inflated properly, it stopped. Probably/Possibly a red herring but worth checking all the same.

I had the exact same problem. I found no fault code.
My thought was that I had driven off to quick before the car had self levelled.
I have let it level off if required and never had it happen since.
just my thoughts.

I get this very occasionally if moving off too fast after start up and height at access. Turn off & on again and fault clears. Previous cars:

Could be the steering angle sensor?

Had mine do similar normally about 10-15mins into driving.

Need to get codes to confirm if the sensor is shot!! If you don't know what you're doing - do it quickly!
