I actually was only messing on the DVLA site fully intending to tax it on Monday but it seemed happy to let me complete the process - so I did. Just typed in the reg and the ref no from the V5 - simples. Geoff

Just did both ours yesterday as we will be back in the UK on Thursday and first job will be to pick the fatty up from my indy after it's coolant pipe replacement.

The reminders are sent to people who tax for a finite period i.e. 6 months or a year. I tax both ours via monthly DD'r and put them both on SORN when we leave the UK.

The DVLA website will allow anyone to tax a vehicle for the next month 2 days before it is due. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Can do it up to a fortnight before afaik. I do mine when the reminder arrives and it runs concurrenlty There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
