iOS 8 Query

For the Apple peeps that install the latest ios tonight or whenever, can someone confirm that you still have the option to store full res photos taken, locally, on the device, iPhone or ipad ?

The internet details they are not stored locally anymore, but in the cloud. I want to keep them on my device like the old ios.....

Thanks 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I downloaded it last night and any pictures I have taken have stayed on my phone ... Plus a couple of times since downloading it my handset has been a bit buggy !!! Freezing on some pages ... When texting it has also frozen whilst typing ..

Many thanks. I read it keeps a lower res version of the pics locally, though it says recent and frequently viewed pics are left hi res.

It will stop people filling up their devices with pics and video so quickly, but you only get 5gb on the cloud without paying extra.

I'm just trying to avoid not having the pic I wanted to show somebody. Perhaps I'm over thinking it.

If it's a bit buggy, I might be better hanging on.

Just had another look on the net, and in the Photos section inside here ;

It seems to indicate that the iCloud photo library is still in beta and is optional anyway........

Well, I installed iOS 8 onto an iPhone 5 and iPad Air this morning and all seems well so far.

I'm liking making phone calls on the iPad.

You have the choice to set up Idrive, so I chose no.

Thumbs Up 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
