I've just got a 2009 ( MY2010) car which doesn't have surround cameras but I thought that it should display lines on the image when reverse is selected, I do get a rear view but no lines.
Is this normal, if not is there a fix, if there is a fix - what is it?

Geoff are you sure the image in the camera is the correct way around??? As there was an issue with the lines disappearing and the image reversing...

If your good with a ruler Yellow felt tip pen might work

No I bought the car privately and the warranty has long expired, I've got to say I didn't really check other than that it worked which it does, I didn't even know this image reversal and no lines was an issue. I'm completely amazed and disappointed that the fix is hardware not software but Craig knows his stuff. I'll PM Dan for the price of a new one, might take the existing one to bits first then it will definitely be broken

Has anyone taken this camera to bits, I have to think its somewhere in the electronics as the screen shows a very clear picture (albeit reversed and sans yellow lines) - Has anyone had a go at fixing or should I just get my hand in my pocket as Craig suggests  Geoff

i suspect your rear view camera might be an early model that didnt have lines... ... - .- -.

I'm talking about the new car 2009 (MY2010), if it makes a difference, and its still reversed.
I can't help thinking shirley shome mishtake when Craig says a new camera, albeit with my fingers crossed.
