2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

RRS is still in huge demand even with a poor name for reliability - especially TDv8's now that LR have stopped making them, but if you want to see really crazy variations in prices just look at 10 year old TDi300 Defenders, I really wonder sometimes how folks ever sell them when you see some of the prices being asked and even my 14 year old one with a few battle scars and a new galvy chassis was recently valued at £8000 and it has only 75000 miles on it but I have seen them similar age with 100,000+ miles and no new chassis and £10k being asked for them. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Prices are odd. Seems to go up and down by a significant amount throughout the year depending on a number of (random?) factors.

I thought Sport prices were high because many people can't tell the difference between a RRS and a FFRR. It's a 'Range Rover'.

Look at the new advert for the RRS. Only mention of the word 'sport' is right at the bottom in what to text for info. Just the words 'Range Rover' are blasted across the screen.

So when the 4.4 comes out, do you reckon prices will drop or go upwards for FFRR? I'm thinking they will drop as there will be more about... I'm talking about 2007/8 models...

There's me hoping anyway...

They can't go up I'd have thought.

Cars will be one reg plate older, plus the prices have already gone up a lot in the last year or so.
Paying 40k for a good 2.5/3 year old FFRR just doesn't make any sense to me right now when you can get a new one (now) with a discount for a bit under 60k. That's new, your choice of colours and with a three year guarentee.

I was going to change mine, but mine is still good so I am holding on for six months or so to see how the new 4.4 TDV8 effects prices of the 'old' TDV8 and to see if more 2nd hand ones come on the market as people trade up to the new, faster, more efficient engine. Hopefully (fingers crossed) people with lots of money will trade up and more 'old' TDV8s will come onto the used market, giving more choice and/or lower prices to buyers.

So it looks like I may have to wait until after Christmas before I buy... Sad

But then a 2008 model might be on the cards Whistle
