I enquired and from Land Rover it was about £1100 for roof bars to be fitted as they (I believe) are then similar to the Discovery where you can move it up and down the car and not a fixed position. I think Thule do a system for a lot less that can be fitted or removed. If you find a car with a tow bar then you could consider getting a tow bar mounted bike rack. I have had one for the last few years and it has been very good.

Thanks for that. I still have my Pendle bike rack from the D3, which attaches to a tow bar. |

The sports bars come up sometimes they fit on where the front and centre little flaps are on the roof trim are and are a bit less permanent, ok for bikes etc Mine was a blue one! |

I bought a set of those Chinese roof rail copies , avoid at all cost they are awful .

+1 for the sports bars - non-permenant, work well and easy to fit 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car! |
