Hello Guys, as some of you may know my air suspension has been playing up. Originally the suspension was locked into normal height and the system would maintain that height, whilst not accepting commands to change to either access or off-road mode.

Until I got time to sort this, I was happy with this as normal height provides most adequate for most of my off-roading needs whilst also being acceptable for towing.
However, recently that lights on the ride selector have disappeared; and the car is no longer attempting to maintain the normal height. This is causing me trouble when I place a heavy loaded trailer on the Land Rover. What should I do? The air bags are perfect and there is no leaks. I've checked the fuses and they are ok. Is something more serious wrong, given that the LEDs no longer light up at all.

Buy an IID tool and reset it or take it to an Indie or the dealer for them to do.... Pete

Thanks. I was looking into doing this; however, they all seem rather expensive for a once off use. If I was to buy one, which would you recommend?

Buy the best you can for your model (the IIDTool BT). It won't be a one off use, you will find many things to do with it, trust me!

As above, iid tool, I thought the tool would be a one of job to sort out things......oh no, its paid for its self as the eas has having an issue.
Its worth it in the long run and would need the fault codes to diagnose your issue.

I too have the non BT version. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I like the idea of cheaper. What's everybody think of the All-Coms? It seems better in the fact that it's not limited to one specific RR?

Going to place an order on one of the units this week just deciding which one. Hmmm.

support from the rws all-comms is pretty well nil , whereas the gap chaps are site sponsors and regular visitors to the forum and they answer queries via pm/email very quickly .. ... - .- -.

I was thinking; If one sourced the All-Coms. I could give assistance to individuals with other RRs and therefore possibly recoup some of the cost. Furthermore, I do buy RRs from time to time and would find it handy to be able to sort issues on the other RRs.

Ok guys. so you were right. It only needed resetting.

After having a good look online and at various supplier I stubbled upon the iCarSoft tool on eBay. At 106 pounds it represents great value for money as it can read and clear faults in all of the Land Rover Family of vehicles, or at least most of them.

For me it solved my problem, whilst providing me with a low cost tool to diagnose any issues which I may have in the future.

Well worth it.

Another unexpected result.
Ever since I've owned the RR the power steering wasn't working correctly. It was as if it only worked 50%. I've used RR with the power steering not working and turning the wheel was very difficult as one can imagine, mine however wasn't that bad. But it wasn't working perfectly.

Using my new diagnostics tool, I erased the faults in the steering system and low and behold it's not working fine.

Best 106 pounds i've spent in a long time.
