Very interested in this. I've heard that a hybrid tuner cant be fitted to 2005MY as it's a bit of a mix of equipment/software used. I was hoping this was incorrect.

If you have a touch screen FFRR and factory fit TV the hybrid tuner is just plug and play . 2008 MY Supercharged

^quabba,

What model number do you have on the hybrid tv unit? There's been loads of threads re: the correct and incorrect tv tuners to get...it's possible you've either got a wrong un, or the tv tuner could be broken.

Did you have an analogue tv unit in to begin with, as if there was an analogue unit installed then the tv option will be enabled in the headunit settings? If not, I think you may need to enable the tv unit in the CCF, so would need diagnostics kit like an IID Tool.

Yeah, got the old analogue tuner installed. all I get is static though obviously Wink
the tv option works with that installed but not the hybrid tuner

I will find the model number - can remember it does say PAG Hybrid on it though and has the Jag and Range rover emblem

sure its something like Aw93-19C063-AG

The model number should start:

AH42 19C063 xx (the last two suffix letters are the model variant, e.g. my tuner has the suffix AH as it came out of a 2010 RRS)

Might also be worthwhile checking the country setting on the tv, make sure it's set to united kingdom, and possibly check you've got a good digital signal near the FF when switching to the tv. Thumbs Up

MY2005 TD6, Denso touchscreen Satnav and (originally analogue) tv.
I had the analogue unit in originally and got the hybrid unit (AH42 19C063 AH) off fleabay, plug and play as I said, but I checked out the threads on this site before taking the plunge, as there are loads of hybrid units on fleabay that don't work in the UK, even if the sellers claim they do.

quabba,

when you say pressing the tv button does nothing, do you mean the tv button is 'greyed out' on the touchscreen?

If that's the case, then check your wiring to the unit (fuses, etc.), as it sounds like the tv unit is possibly not getting any power or could be faulty.

Not sure if it's greyed out. Can see it ok but as soon as I press it - only thing that happens is any music being played stops. I then have to select cd or radio to get sound back.
As soon as I plug analogue back in tv option is available again

Hmmm, sounds as though you've got a wrong un there I'm afraid.

As I said, check the model number first, anything with AH42 19C063 xx should work okay, anything else probably won't.

If the model number is correct, then the unit is faulty.

Hi fellas
I'm new to the forum and in the process of upgrading to digital, however I'm hoping to sell my analogue unit. Has anybody done this and if so what sort of price should I expect. I don't think there are many countries running on analogue.
