Coming up for 3 years and about 30,000 miles getting 18.5 mpg, mainly towing over 2000 kgs.

That's a 50% improvement over the old 4.4 petrol.

If I stick to the speed limits 34,

But:-

balls hanging out, foot to the floor, sucking up the planet and dumping fuel, with both turbo's spinning at Autobahn speeds, and hunting down SuperChargers Laughing trying to conserve fuel - 23 mpg Cool

Sensible speeds up to 100ish 26/27 mpg

And

Those are real world figures calculated with the iPhone App - not optimistic OBC Thumbs Up with the 8 speed box, the engine is only ticking over at 2000 rpm at 100 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

^^ I applaud you Sir Vogue!!!

In this politically correct world we live in where we pretend to be happy to drive to save the planet whilst being frustrated and angry behind the wheel it is so nice to here someone tell the truth!!! Bow down Bow down Bow down

If I wanted to save the planet I wouldn't have bought an FFRR! Mine is just the 3.6 but, by hell, it can upset a few boy racers.
I envy your economy figures - the 4.4 is truly impressive - but it bother me when a SC driver worries about mpg. If mpg is your thing then why oh why buy an SC - you will never experience the full rip-snorting 500 bhp!!

Soz - don't want to offend but Sir Vogue is refreshingly honest!!

Oh and Craig, I can't find where it says TD on mine but my 4.4V8 does 15mpg on LPG if I'm lucky, about 10mpg if I'm following "Vogue"

I get between 23-26mpg average, but this is driving in London and lots of crappy drivers, traffic and lights. Not a lot of motorway driving. MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"

Around town driving normally - not booting it or hanging around but making good progress at prevailing speed limit sI often see 30/32 mpg on the computer (however accurate that is), not uncommon to see 35.

On the other end of the scale it's bloody quick for a big heavy old bus when you demand a response from the right pedal!

Both the 4.4 TDV8 engine and the 8 speed gearbox are very impressive in real world. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ

When I picked mine up I drove to the motorway and set the c control to 60 and drove for 60 miles returning an amazing 45.3 mpg . In the real world most of my miles are journeys of 5- 25 miles and about half motorway and half normal town traffic and at the moment my trip meter shows 26.8 mpg. Not too bad for such a big 4.4 unit. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

Craig

Mine shows 19.5 all the time around town and up and over the mountain.
On a run i can get 29 ish but as soon as i get back to the mountain its 19.5
I don't drive it for the MPG though or i'd be driving a smart car.

I used to get mid 20s from mine. High 20s on a run.

Would do 450miles on a full tank (the range would tell you 600 but it was telling porkies).

The L405 gets high 20s and will get into the 30s on a run. I get 500 out of a tank with ease.

When you back Craig I want to talk to you about wheels but your phone (and presumably you) were still abroad when I tried the other day - so I rang off. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ
