Mark, if your getting a mitt, what I found works best is to put some strong car wash fluid / water mix in a spray bottle (I used autoglym conditioning car wash and made it strong (c.1:40 ratio). Spray that on the panel, rub the mitt up and down the paintwork in straight lines (but back and forward) where possible. You need to apply a little pressure but not too much. Dont be tempted to rub at a particularly rough spot, the mitt will have got it, you just need to clean it off and it will look great. Polish and seal asap. Worth putting in the effort for a great finish that will last.
