Noticed today when cleaning the engine bay that the nearside bracket for the hydraulic bonnet strut had 2 areas of flaking/ chipped paint that was oxidising, as pictured.

What's the best treatment to give this please (apologies if the iPad shows the image upside down again):

I have and still do use Kurust as opposed to Jenolite. Another good product is Fertan.

If it can't be seen I would use smooth silver hammerite. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Ordered a 30ml container of Fertan rust converter for £5.15 incl VAT and delivery.

Never heard of it before and liked the apparent simplicity/ guaranteed performance of the product which can be easily applied and then - as my 2 small areas are out of sight - a careful application of LR touch up paint will suffice to finish it off perfectly well.

The 30ml container reportedly has coverage amounting to the size of two pieces of A4 pepper which is more than enough.
