To do or not to do...?

Question, my rangie has now 56000KM, it's a 4.4, MY11, next week is last chance to extend warranty. 1 year I was quoted Euro1'100 and 2 years 2'100.

Extend or not? With the above mileage what am I looking at? I know, sh@#$%t happens...but... Question

Doing approximately 12'000/15'000 KM a year.

Suggestions highly appreciated Thumbs Up

JJ

Who is providing the warranty Java?

AFAIK, there isn't a last chance it's maybe just that if you miss the deadline date they might ask you to pay for a health check to be done on the vehicle before agreeing to cover it on a later date?

I'd shop around for like for like cover and prices... And would definitely have a warranty but that's just IMO.

Thumbs Up

@pld118
It's a quote from Land Rover Germany. I bought the car in Deutschland so it can only be done by LR in Germany.

On an other note, is 56000KM/34000miles a lot for a L322? What, if anything, am I looking for as for a big trouble ahead?

JJ, 56K k is not a lot for any L322 especially for an 4.4L TDV8, there is one in germany close to 300.000 with the original engine, and drivetrain.

I would get the warranty: any job will set you +1000 anyway.

make sure it can be transfered to the next owner and if you sell it, you'll have a great advantage then. Whistle

For 100 a month you will sleep much better mate. my coverage in France is around Euors 75 a month for the top of the line warranty, ask them to offer a better deal on the 2 years option, say 1500 and settle at 1800.

Is it an international warranty ?

I would have thought you'd want the work done locally, or maybe France/Italy ? How often are you in Germany ?

If you have any big failure, it would mean transporting the car back to Germany......

Verydisco, apparently it can be transferred to next owner Thumbs Up
And yes, sleeping better is a plus Laughing

Alistair, just got off the phone and it's an international warranty. Does cover most of the stuff! Important that it covers turbo and engine issues. Apparently it's not an extension but a warranty that LR offers. Good point though, international coverage is a must Thumbs Up

So, decided to go ahead, should be done by end of next week.

Thanks everybody Exclamation

JJ
