United Arab Emirates 2012 Range Rover HSE 5.0 V8 Bournville
Need help understanding this problem

Hello all,

My FullFatRR gave up on me this afternoon. Its a 2012 model Bournville HSE.

Issue:

Unlocked car with key fob. Pressed engine start button by holding down the brake, as required. Message kept coming up on screen to press brake pedal. When I tried pressing down on the brakes harder, realised the brakes went all the way to the floor.

All display lights working and no warning lamps on screen either.

Called Road Assist. The guy came pretty quickly - under 20 minutes. He checked the battery. All ok. Got into the car and pumped the brakes numerous times. And then the car started. Got the recovery truck to come fetch the car and he said that it is a brake 'cylinder' issue (?!).

Now I quite didn't understand this. Could any of you comment and help me understand what the problem could be?

Car is under full warranty. Therefore, I don't expect to pay out. However, it would help to understand what the problem is - which the dealer guys rarely take the time to explain.

Thank you all.
