[SOLD] Range Rover Shoot Box

I had a shoot box / storage drawers made that was perfect for my L322 and, now that has gone, I find it isn't quite right for my L405 (the dog is a bit too cramped on top.

Contents and dog not included in the sale.

It sits exactly between the rear wheel arches and is the correct depth for the boot. The rear parcel shelf will go on top. It is designed to sit on the OEM rubber mat (not part of the sale) but might work without it. I used cable ties to attach it to the rear D rings but it actually doesn't move around much.

Collection only as it is huge and weighs a fair amount (if can be lifted by one person with the drawers out but it is too bulky for that to be easy). Luckily it fits in the back of a Range Rover...

£600

Tempting tempting...
Unfortunately would prefer not to spend that kind of money at the moment Sad

It doesn't look like the drawers lock - is that the case?

However, perhaps a trade could be arranged? Wink

I've got an all-metal gun cabinet that was in the back of my Defender that looks to be a bit shorter than yours which is surplus to requirements at the moment. Only one compartment but I do have some foam cut-outs for a 32" shotgun (surprising how long the barrels are) and my .243 broken down (barrel and action separate from stock). It also has proper "gun-cabinet" locks on it too (i.e. the really long stemmed keys).

Unfortunately the only image I can find of it at the moment (I've definitely got some more at home) is one from a shooting training camp a few years ago at Bisley...

I'm sure I can get the carpenter who built it to put locks in. I can get a quote if you would like.

I decided against locks as I don't ever leave the guns in the car. If I did, they would be in a locked travel case and the car would be superlocked. So to get to the guns, they have to break in, force the locks on the boot, defeat the alarm, fight off the dog (though he would most likely lick them) and force the locks on the gun case. Not impossible but in my mind, that satisfies the duty of care requirement.

This was more to cart around all the other stuff. Cartridges, cartridge bag, gun cleaning kit, waterproofs, ear defenders, spare caps, spare jumpers, dog leads, dog food, dog bowls, dog whistles, energy drinks and all the other clobber that I like to have on hand (I hate getting to a shoot and finding that I have left an essential bit of kit at home).

Just a final bump as this is now on eBay. If someone wants it before it goes...
