What was the specific fault (found with diagnostics), as opposed to the "bong" fault of "AIR SUSP INACTIVE" ?

^as above... Sounds like a height sensor... Should be detectable on diagnostics |

Thank you both.. Given the circumstances leading up to the failure, I agree. Its with a local indie who has looked after the car for the last 4 years, and I don't mind that he's replaced the drier. I think though, I'l invest in my own diagnostics, because that way I could reply to your specific question about which code. I live near the Bearmach store (well within 30 mins) would that be a good diag tool, or would you recommend another one?

OK.... have emailed Dan at DW for a price on the IID tool... also for info.. had a great email dialogue with the guys at GAP.. waiting for a price (Dans on hols I think) and then we'll be GAP'd to the hilt!

No, that shouldn't spring a fault. I have my rear one tied up without a problem (having lost the tiny clip on the gravel ). YMMV.

Both my brake pad wear sensors are broken and not connected, I get a "check brake pads" message on the dash but I don't have a suspension error showing, so don't think the pad sensor alone will do it, they may have pulled out or damaged the ABS wires and that would do it.... Pete
