another air. susp inactive L322

hi good people,

My 03 4.4 L322 is not behaving in the air susp. department. After a couple of really cold days this winter my air. susp inactive message came on. It drove like ut should, locked in normal height. Didnt use the car much so didnt get around to checking the fault codes before now. I cant remember very weel just now, but think I got a fault code about the temperature in the compressor.

The code was deleted and the car drove without problems for another 150 miles. Lowering into highway mode as it should, and otherwise working as it should. I then left the car for 4-5 days in hot summer weather. Came back and started the car and the air. susp inactive message was back on.

The heat/temp. message, sound familiar? Pistonrings in the compressor? Sensorfault? How can I fix this, without getting a new compressor? They are ridicilously expensive in Norway, used or new.

I can't help you with the fault finding but Meerbusch may be able to help. He used to sell refurb kits as well.

What you could do, is find a kit on ebay and send it to Norway or get a compressor outside Norway, assuming you won't be hit with huge taxes ??

Suggest that in the mean time you go through all the compressor posts as I remember all kinds of issues being described and resolved on the forum.

Sorry I can't be of more help. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Need to know the exact code to be able to pinpoint where the problem is. Not all "Air Susp Inactive" bongs relate to the compressor. Seems odd that the compressor got hot on a cold day? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
