England 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

You will see many on this thread have settled on 275/45/21.
There is good reason for this:

The ride is very close to as good as on the 20" rims
The grip and handling is improved
The overall diameter is very close to L322 stock
The 'Road to Rim' distance is just 3mm different from a 255/50/20
There is a good supply of new 'take off' wheels from L405 owners upgrading at tempting prices.
They look as though they fill the arches properly and give a good stance without crossing into 'Carlos Fandango' territory.
Mine cost less with new tyres than I could have bought a new set of new 20" tyres...

Thanks Mactech,
What you say makes sense. Have you an idea of the price range for 'take off's' so that I can budget accordingly? For the sake of safety I need to sort some wheels, tyres and a new set of nuts before I take it in for new rear bushes, and new brake discs and pads all round. I feel like I have holes in my pockets at the moment! Lol Big Cry Wink Thumbs Up

Cheers Alistair, I've only seen one set of genuine take offs for under 1k, the rest are about £1,700+. I am tempted by the set way up north but they aren't quite the style I'm after. Both lots below are currently available...

Hi Cam-Tech-Craig,
Thanks for that... I've seen someone locally (Christchurch) with a set like the bottom ones but polished and black inner parts that look really smart on the L322. As you can see a few posts above, I currently have the turbines alas not in the best state. I'd like to keep the polished and black look rather than the plain silver. I'm still edging towards 20" rather than 21" rims as I want a little more sidewall on the tyres. I do creep onto the muddy stuff from time to time too so I'm not ruling out an alloy that can hold a quality AT tyre either. The pot holes down here between Ringwood and Christchurch back roads are brutal! I feel a little lost with the options available being relatively new to the FFRR, and having been stuffed before am reluctant just to purchase from the likes of eBay. However, the urgency of new wheels and tyres will see me soon purchasing direct from the LR dealership at some cost Big Cry Shocked traveling is not an option for me at the mo either (to pick up)... Feeling a little bit between a rock and a hard place. Rolling with laughter Bow down Thumbs Up Embarassed

Looking through this Topic - the 21s look very nice indeed, as shown on these two pics:

The question from me is how do they ride in comparison to the stock 255/50-20s? The 255/55-20 have a larger sidewall, but I feel these may upset the ACC system a tad, unless anyone can advise otherwise ... Regards,
Mick
