Hey Stan, would the switch need to be replaced or is it an adjustment I have to make. Also where exactly is it located on the hood (bonnet*)?

Mine does the random alarm thing now and again too... Normally its the bonnet switch (make sure its not been leant on) and only just touches the bonnet |

Check the bonnet switch first as per the above replies. It was the problem on my 4.2 SC as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Driver side (for you) above the wheel arch, close to the firewall. Sticks up like a sore thumb MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Just disconnect it for a few days, if all is well try the adjustments , if the adjustments fail it's new switch time |
