advice and re-assurance needed...

i'm just about to buy a 2005 ffrr td6 with 115k miles and need advice whether the high mileage is ok on this ....
loads of rrff around 2002/3 seem to have this mileage and seem to sell well so any advice or re-assurance would be greatly appreciated....

I'm no expert as i'm looking to buy my first RR Vogue, but I would make sure it had full LR service history and the recalls done (If there were any)...

I've read allot about having the gear box flushed as well, so maybe check to see if that has been done too.

have a good look through te service history, i would drop him £100 deposit and go to a cafe and read it through
check to see if theres been any gearbox issue's, you cant stand in front of him and browse through it..check all the discs for cracks, check the hand brake.. i dont think the mileage is to much to worry about but as long as its been looked after..one owner is a plus.
what colour is it.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Cairns Blue! Thumbs Up
Good choice.

Facelift or old shape?

On any FFRR I'd want a main dealer (or good known independent) service history.

How much?

Well good luck. Thumbs Up

I still think Cairns is the best colour, particularly with a light interior. I've been looking for a TDV8 Cairns Blue FFRR but they seem pretty rare. Sad

This car will Walk 115k without any problems. Full service history is ESSENTIAL though as, otherwise, you should completely disregard the mileage. At 115k it should still look almost perfect inside. I've seen these with 200k plus and they hide the mileage well, making them a target for clocking.

Take a random few of the services and phone the dealer to confirm they were done. Even at 115k, it could have had 100k clocked off so still make sure you check.

They haven't had many issues but you should check for oil in the water and vise versa and the coolant should look clean and deep blue or red (red if it's been done by LR).

If the history isn't all LR then you should pay a LOT less. Don't accept joe bloggs garage as a stamp in the book unless they are a well known specialist.

Test drive it for AT LEAST half an hour at all road speeds. Any major problems should tip up in that time.

Cairns is an amazing colour. June 05 should still have the touch screen system and venture cam so check it's there and works.

Good luck, let us know how you get on? My Previous RR's!

scarey, when i bought my one i had a clear pic in my head what i wanted, colour, interior, wheels and extras...so with that in mind i started looking.you change the wheels and add a few extras but you will be stuck with every thing else.i found one i wanted and it had every thing i wanted but had sand interior and i wanted parchment, but it had good mileage and was an autobiography, oh and of corse it was the right price.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

i know what you mean dave, this one needs nice wheels, rear tints and a personnel number plate , all which can be obtained bit by bit when funds allow...i love the colour on this one and the light interior and being a gadget addict , the touch screen sat nav....

Think all the touch screen models had the venture cam. It docks on the passenger side near where your left knee would go. They aren't mega expensive on eBay if it's missing (60ish).
