Monaco 2011 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Nara Bronze
From L405 back to L322??

Had my L405 for 1 1/2 years and sold it last month to a Russian couple that were looking for the exact model and specs. 4.4 / Autobiography / Black / Beige interior. Anyway, guess they didn't want to stand in line...
Back in the market for a another one and I'm wondering if I should go back to the L322, a 2011/2012 4.4 or Supercharged maybe. Having said that I know that the L405 might be the better one to drive but the L322 looks better IMO...

Suggestions...?

Thanks,

JJ

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Apart from the quality issues, most of the L405 owners on here reckon it is a better car in almost every way. I can't judge that unfortunately as I have never driven a L405. I still like the L322 look and my 5.0 SC AB is soo brilliant that I don't need (nor afford) a L405.

I'd rather wait till the L322 I have now is so old I "need" to upgrade to allow mine to become a collector limited use car and the L405 has to be the main car but is probably a decade from now (I hope). Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

L322 is like a step back in time in every respect IMO....No. one rule, never go back, lol

Looks are subjective of course but I personally think the L322 looks really dated already and hasn't aged as well as I expected it to....I blame the chintzy 2010 facelift for this as the previous facelift looked great. '14.5 SDV8 Nara Bronze for sale

Well the L322 did a 12 year stint selling well for the whole time. Time will tell if the L405 will do as well but I suspect it will not get close to the longevity of the L322 and its looks will date much quicker than the L322.

Just my opinion of course, and while the L405 is a nice looking car I still prefer the look of the L322 in any of its guises.

IMO the L322 still looks all Range Rover, the L405 looks big evoque and very every other SUV, not saying it's not a great car but, for me at least, the L322 is the better looking car and usually I like progress and new things Shocked 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts

Your question was bound to open up the lovers and detractors of the two versions debate again! My suggestion is go and drive the L322 again, you will then know if you want it after living with the L405. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

+1 Thumbs Up I was thinking exactly the same. Especially now that V12 Vantage prices have come down so much.
A proper driver's car to complement a proper Range Rover!

Although I like the L322's presence on the road a lot better than the L405 .... but going back from an L405 to an L322 would be like Throwing out the Younger Model Wife and going back to an Old Slapper who has seen more ceilings than Michelangelo ..... ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

I agree with this. The earlier ones look far better, but I prefer the mechanical and electronic upgrades of the later ones. What I need is a reverse facelift, where you get a later one and make it look like an earlier one. Thumbs Up
