Apart from the quality issues, most of the L405 owners on here reckon it is a better car in almost every way. I can't judge that unfortunately as I have never driven a L405. I still like the L322 look and my 5.0 SC AB is soo brilliant that I don't need (nor afford) a L405.

Well the L322 did a 12 year stint selling well for the whole time. Time will tell if the L405 will do as well but I suspect it will not get close to the longevity of the L322 and its looks will date much quicker than the L322.

IMO the L322 still looks all Range Rover, the L405 looks big evoque and very every other SUV, not saying it's not a great car but, for me at least, the L322 is the better looking car and usually I like progress and new things 09 TDV8 Westminster, Mariana Black, Rear seat entertainment, hatch bag and 2 slobbery mutts |

Your question was bound to open up the lovers and detractors of the two versions debate again! My suggestion is go and drive the L322 again, you will then know if you want it after living with the L405. 2019 D5 HSE Lux SDV6 Indus

+1 I was thinking exactly the same. Especially now that V12 Vantage prices have come down so much. A proper driver's car to complement a proper Range Rover! |

Although I like the L322's presence on the road a lot better than the L405 .... but going back from an L405 to an L322 would be like Throwing out the Younger Model Wife and going back to an Old Slapper who has seen more ceilings than Michelangelo ..... ====================================

I agree with this. The earlier ones look far better, but I prefer the mechanical and electronic upgrades of the later ones. What I need is a reverse facelift, where you get a later one and make it look like an earlier one. |
