Has anybody used cartronics.co.uk to have amp fixed?

Hi, I have been in email contact with Cartronics about my Harman Kardon XQK500103 amp no sound fault. They have said they can fix these amps so I have asked them what they do to them repair only, upgrade parts, software, hardware etc. I have also asked for an idea on price no point spending hundreds on a repair when I can buy from fleabay for £150 and up.
If anyone has had any dealings with this company I would be gratefull for the info advise.
If no one I will let you know what info I get back from them and whether I use them or not

I'd recommend without doubt. The owner Baris is a forum member and does the digital TV upgrades and the BM54 amp upgrades a few of us have had. Service is first rate.

Have a search for BM54 Amp Upgrade or search for his threads.

Excellent, thanks for that my mind has been put at rest. I recognise Baris from some posts, hopefully they come back with a good price and I can get the sound back in my car. I have two amps to fix. I had bought one for £50 off bay and it worked for about 3 months then packed in so I will have a spare.

Hi Baris, can you fix the Harman Kardon Logic 7 amp which is fitted to the touchscreen system on the Range Rover system from 2005 part number XQK500103 ?
It has no sound but everything else seems to work. There is no water damage, no streaking or green goo. It looks like new. Everything on the system seems to work just no sound.
The second amp is the XQK500105 version and it worked fine for 2 - 3 months (£50 of bay) then it started no sound but then no screen control just stuck on Land Rover logo, occasionally if I start the car after ignition on for a few minutes the screen works but unable to change radio settings choose cd and no fuel economy readings. I thought the TMC was faulty as it seemed to short (spark) when touched against any of the metal frame. I bought a new one and it was the same.

Apologies for the late reply.

Honestly, I have never held the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 unit in my hand before. So I don't know how the internals are.

If I had a test bench for the unit, I would be able to try and repair it, but as its fibre optic, I have not yet set up anything for that.

I also had a look at anyone trying to repair them, and there does not seem to be anyone around.

The only option, is to leave a car with me and then I can do repairs and test it in the car.

Its crazy, as I have been getting a lot of calls about these units failing.

If someone has a faulty one laying around, then I dont mind having a look at that, and seeing if I can repair it. barisahan@gmail.com
