If like me you get a wet spare wheel compartment floor, why not try this little mod.
remove the rubber bung forward of the air compressor and cut two slits in it like so.
Then refit it upside down (as in the picture)
As most water tends to collect in this area, it should drain out of the slits, whilst the retained bung prevents mice from accessing a nesting site!
(Yes, I know, fix the original problem, but despite best efforts, not been able to track it down!) .
