United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

Think I may have found the source of the shudder.

There seems to be greasy deposits on the inside of the d/a wheel, bottom rear of the strut and round the front caliper banjo fitting. So it looks like tit was leaking fluid, which has mixed with brake dust. So nipping this up combined with the new pads should hopefully sort it, had lost a bit of fluid too, so looks like the culprit.

Enjoy the break Stan! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Badge update done!

Toffee wheel is a total boon, gets rid of the sticky stuff easily, just needs a steady hand and a drill which will run slowly, I suspect you could do some paint damage if it ran too fast!

Now have Titan front and rear badging and Titan boot strip, just lifts the car that little bit, brunell always looked a bit dark to me! Just need a Titan vogue badge now, tempted to get an AB badge but that might spoil it a bit????? And it isnt!!!! But it's so tempting.

Gave the car a quick mop over with the da and polishing pad, not a full polish but made it look a bit tidier.

Also swapped to the rubber mats in prep for the terrible winter we are bound to have! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Laughing ... Think I insulted the mechanic who fitted our rear brakes at the weekend by asking him to please make sure he used the supplied tube of copper grease instead of the stuff he used before as I'm wondering if that's maybe why the fronts are squealing!

Thanks.

Thumbs Up

I have seen the effects of a internally collapsed flexible brake pipe, like the ones on the front calipers, it breaks down, and blocks itself up, it restricts the flow back of fluid and seizes the brake caliper a little. I know we are talking rear, which ( I'm guessing) have a single flexy for the rear axle, but it could be worth sticking on a new one whilst the fluid lines are open etc. It could be biasing one caliper more than the other....
Flexies -Possibly around £20 worth.

Well I got the expansion hose changed and checked it this morning. It is fine but in changing it the garage seem to have damaged the hose above it where it joins the ally hose Union. And it is leaking a bit Big Cry

I know how the ended up damaging it! It is a pita to get off. Not really their fault.

Upside is that the bargain hose set off of the bay of E which I bought to fix the first hose has the second hose attached. So in the end I changed the second one this morning.

fyi the hose to the small rad in the wheel arch is sooo much easier to change if you take the drivers headlamp out! Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
