Yep, strong vehicles indeed. In my old FFRR I brought a pallet back from the builder's yard, put in with a fork lift and complete with 72 18" square slabs.

What type of lathe did you buy? I spend my spare time restoring old metalworking and woodworking lathes.

Yes, it was a metal working lathe... everything you see in the picture plus some more working metal was loaded into the back, plus the wheeled trolley it was strapped to .

Yep, put that load in your average coil spring/leaf spring car and you would be dragging your rear end down the road like a dog with an itchy ar e, that's for sure. |

one of my hobbies involves me jumping into the sea carrying about 130kg of bits and bobs to keep me occupied.

i cut a tree down, -big-one! -'topped' it off hooked up, axed the roots, and bent it over, and towed out the trunk/stump. shredded the small branches, and filled RR with sawn branches, (2ft) it took it no problem. later i returned and chained the trunk and filled it to the roof with foot high logs. she was on the bumper almost, till the pump took her up. then returned for the stump.

I love that it's a real tool. Clean it looks good at a nice hotel, normally with dogs/pheasants/wellies and other bits in the back, or full of logs, or plasterboard, or garage rubbish.
