No it was working fine. Didn't have to use any pressure to open the bonnet, it just snapped.

I've ordered my second one as they are just cack. Think its the bend that causes the issue FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Not too bad really. Just have some Vaseline on hand or grease to ease the rubber grommet in. Feed it they from inside the cabin and you should be ok. Make a note of the routing on the engine side to make sure it's all right when back together. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

You can significantly reduce the load on the cable by thoroughly lubricating the two bonnet catches, they are in a position where they are subject to a lot of "weather" and corrode quite badly.

My 2007 bonnet cable snapped apprx 1 year ago, hopefully the new one will last the rest of my ownership. |
