RR MY2008: Audio Sytem Goes Haywire on start?

An ongoing problem, that the dealer cant rectify.

Most times when I start the car, the touchscreen for audio flicks between radio and tv, meaning that you get 2 secs of sound from each. This lasts fopr about 5-10 mins. The audio on/off button flashes, and all data - trip, radio stns, etc is lost. After up to 5-10 mins, it all comes back as normal - all preset radio stns are there, trip data etc.

Dealer claimed rectified but fault still there when I collected RR. They have tried a full reset, but it still goes on. On some journeys now, the problem happens when everything has been working fine, and again afetr 5 mins or so it corrects itself.

Has anyone else had this, and if so, what fixed it?

Thanks

First guess would be to try a new battery. Maybe there's too much of a voltage drop for the audio system to cope with when cranking?

Mind you, it can get expensive diagnosing faults via replacing stuff... Not sure you should be reading this bit.
